XIBALBA

[Approach Xibalba]
JUN: It's pretty big. I can't even see the roof through the clouds at the top.
MAYA: But it's strange, isn't it? They must have known we were following them. Why aren’t they at the door? Isn't this a little too quiet?
LISA: Since this is a UFO that can fly in the sky, they probably have some really high-tech traps here. They could kill everyone with one of those...
MAYA: That's right. I don't think everyone will be killed, but it wouldn't be strange to find some sort of trap inside.
EIKICHI: Hey, what kind of trap do you think will be in there?

 - Something like a laser
 - Something like an oven

JUN: No matter what we do, just standing here won't accomplish anything. In order to return the city to normal, we have to hurry and get the Crystal Skull of Heaven.
JUN: Let's go, everyone!

[IF YOU CHOSE "LASER"]
EIKICHI: What? What are these holes? Is someone peeping on me, Michel-sama?
EIKICHI: Look at me!
JUN: It's a trap! Everyone run!
EIKICHI: They're not kidding! Just a bit longer, and this beautiful face of mine would have had holes in it!
LISA: Are you trying to kill us all? What the hell was that--'look at me?'
MAYA: Okay, okay. Thanks to Eikichi-kun, we noticed the trap. Let's not make a fuss about this and just get out of here.

[IF YOU CHOSE "OVEN"]
EIKICHI: Hot! Hot! It's really just like you said, Tacchan!
JUN: The door won't open!
LISA: This sucks! Are we gonna turn into roast beef?!
MAYA: If we just clear our minds, the oven will cool down! Our Personae will protect us! Everyone, run!
EIKICHI: This is crazy! Maya-nee, why are you so out of control!
EIKICHI: Whoa! M-my neck is really burning! I wish I hadn't put these on!

Enter Xibalba

[ROOM OF IMIX (B1)]
[The scene is in front of Araya; the kids are looking through a telescope.]
EIKICHI: That's g-great, Jun... y-your dad b-bought you t-this kind of thing.
JUN: Ehehe. I'll show everyone the stars. Papa knows everything about stars!
LISA: Hey, that's cool! My daddy's always working.
LISA: Hey, what kind of person is your daddy, Jun?
JUN: Eh? Well... um...
JUN: He's really cool, and strong--he's a great father! Really!
MAYA: Really? I don't have a dad, so I'm jealous... that's nice, Jun-kun!
BAD KID: That's a lie! Your mom told my mom! She said that Kurosu's dad is a crappy father!
HATEFUL KID: Heeeeeey, heeeeeeey, Liar Kurosuuuu! Your dad's a crappy father, crappy father!
MAYA: Cut it out, you guys!
[Tatsuya beats up the kids]
EIKICHI: D-don't pay a-attention to them... Because I-I was told something e-even worse...
JUN: Papa is...Papa is...he's not a crappy father!
[The scene ends.]
JUN: Wh...why am I remembering this? M-my head is...
MAYA: Jun-kun? Are you okay? Hang in there.
JUN: I'm okay. Sorry... everyone... Let's hurry...on.

[Talk to party members]
LISA: That's right--that happened too... Jun was so proud of his father...
LISA: I wonder when I started to behave the way I do towards mine?
MAYA: Was this also... Jun-kun's heart being shown to us?
MAYA: It's not impossible... we're going to have to do battle with that father soon.
EIKICHI: My father is...really difficult...
EIKICHI: The ones that raise us are our fathers, and the first big wall we bump into are our fathers... maybe that's the way that a father has to be...
JUN: That's right... my father was my pride! I've got to stop him.

[ROOM OF IIQ (B2)]
EIKICHI: What's... happened here?
[Dead Masquerade members lie on the floor.]
JUN: This one is dead too.
LISA: P, Prince Taurus...? This is him, isn't it? The one who kidnapped Ideal-sensei from the detective agency?
EIKICHI: H, his face is burned completely black!
JUN: These are the ashen remains made by a laser or something...a trap...!
EIKICHI: There are gonna be even bigger traps from here on?
EIKICHI: The last one was a laser... the next one will probably be an oven or something. [If you chose 'oven' first, the two will be reversed in this line.]
MAYA: I'm worried about Ideal-sensei. Let's hurry on!

[Look around the room and talk to party members]
MASQUERADE MEMBER: His wounds are burned around the edges. He was probably killed by a laser.
CORPSE OF PRINCE TAURUS: The face is burned and turned completely to ash. There is no remainder of his features.
EIKICHI: The next one's gonna be an oven for sure! What should we do, Tacchan?
JUN: If I hadn't made him into an Executive, he wouldn't have died...
JUN: In order to reclaim the dream he once had, he called me when I was the Joker.
JUN: Dreams, ideals... sometimes people even lose their lives for them. Maybe it's happier not to dream at all...?
LISA: Even though he was pretty strong, in the end, he was weak.
LISA: He did such a horrible thing to Asacchi and Miipo! I'm not gonna feel sorry for him!
MAYA: Ideal-sensei's body isn't here, so I think she must be alive. I wonder where she could have gone?

[ROOM OF AKAB'AL (B3)]
[The scene here is whichever one you didn't get at the beginning of Xibalba; if you chose the laser, this room will have an oven, and vice versa. Refer to the translations above.]

[ROOM OF KAN (B3)]
[The scene opens on a very young girl and a man standing at Araya Shrine. The man holds a suitcase.]
MAYA: D...Da....d?
MAYA'S FATHER: Okay, Maya? This shrine has the benefit of making people's dreams come true. Try making a wish.
MAYA'S FATHER: What did you wish for, Maya?
CHILD MAYA: I wished that you'd always be at home.
CHILD MAYA: Is your job... really that important?
MAYA'S FATHER: I'll come home as fast as I can. This job is something I've wished for, ever since I was a kid.
MAYA: Was it more important than Mom and me? You're so... selfish!
MAYA: Liar! You said you'd come home...even though you said you'd come home...!
MAYA: While Dad was at a war scene doing interviews--they said that I might be able to forget... did they know just how upset I was?
CHILD MAYA: I'll wait for you.
CHILD MAYA: Dad... this... this is a good-luck charm that I made...
MAYA'S FATHER: Thank you. Look, if you cry so much, the bunny will laugh at you.
MAYA: Don't go! I wasn't that good of a girl! You can't go!
MAYA'S FATHER'S VOICE: Please understand, Maya... reporters are needed by the world. It's a job to be proud of.
CHILD MAYA: That's why I'll become a reporter who can bring dreams to everyone...
MAYA: I'm sorry... I'm okay, so... I'm okay...

- When you want to cry, it's okay to cry. MAYA: U....uwaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
[She cries against Tatsuya's chest. Tatsuya holds her.]
- Even if it's painful, bear it. MAYA: I understand... so... I understand...

MAYA: I...I went into the same field of work as my father and wanted to surpass him... maybe that's what I thought...
MAYA: My father died chasing his dreams...all that came back was this...
MAYA: So, I...I wanted to do what my father wasn't able to, to support a home and a career at the same time, and I wanted to become a great journalist...
MAYA: Do you know the poem "Sedative," by Marie Laurencin?
MAYA:
More pathetic than a homeless woman is a battered woman.
More pathetic than a battered woman is a dead woman.
More pathetic than a dead woman is a forgotten woman...
LISA: I wonder what the proof of life is... even if you die, as long as you're not forgotten, you'll keep living on in people's memories.
EIKICHI: But if you're forgotten... maybe it's the same as if you died.
JUN: Since we can't live on our own, we try to carve out an existence in the hearts of others... chasing dreams... that might be a method of fighting loneliness...
MAYA: If everyone had really forgotten about me, I might not be here.
JUN: We'll never forget you! Never again, never again will we forget about you, or anyone else, Maya-neesan!
MAYA: Thanks. I caused you guys so much trouble. Let's go.

[Talk to characters]
MAYA: You know... I think that I've finally found the place where I belong... it's taken ten years, and it's the place that my Persona led me to.
MAYA: I don't want anyone to be unhappy anymore... we've got to end this quickly.
EIKICHI: Wanting to be a big star... wanting to be famous...
EIKICHI: Wearing cool clothes, following trends, they're all the same. Everyone's desperately trying to make a place for themselves.
LISA: Falling for someone, following your dreams; they're because you want to be remembered.
LISA: But that's not good, is it? It'd be nice if I could honestly think so, but I'm not that strong.
JUN: The dream my father followed might have been like that too... but because of it, if everyone else is unhappy... even if they hurt each other...

[ROOM OF CHICCHAN (B5)]
LISA: Hey, Tatsuya...haven't we already walked a lot? I'm really tired...
LISA: I wonder if there is a recovery spring anywhere!
EIKICHI: Yeah, it's been a long time since we saw that old guy Igor's face, too.
EIKICHI: Pretty soon, our Personae are gonna need pinch hitters.
MAYA: This isn't good. We don't have time or the means to return to the city now. Everyone, we just came in here. Let's give it our best?
LISA: Well, then that means those Last Battalion guys can't get out either.
LISA: Those guys are proud of their high-tech stuff, aren't they? I wonder if they've got German science, or some other device they brought to get in and out?
EIKICHI: Saying that kind of nonsensical stuff won't change anything. Shall we go on?
JUN: It's here--this way is the Velvet Room, and that way is a Recovery Spring... it's written on the doors!
EIKICHI, MAYA, LISA: Huh? Really?
LISA: Aiya! We're unbelievably lucky! Let's go, Tatsuya!
EIKICHI: Ooooh! Lady Luck, thank you very much! Everybody, let's go!
MAYA: Wait a sec, you two! No matter how you look at this, this is too good to be true!
MAYA: O-oh dear...
MAYA: This is bad! This has got to be some kind of trap! We've got to follow those two!
MAYA: I'll go after Eikichi-kun. Tatsuya-kun, Jun-kun, you follow Lisa!
JUN: I think what Maya-neesan said is right. Tatsuya, let's hurry and catch up to Lisa!
[They head into the spring, after Lisa.]
JUN: Lisa! H-huh?
JUN: It won't open! I knew it was a trap... dammit!
JUN: No, I won't die in this place! I promised those kids... Stop! Return!
JUN: Eh? How--?
JUN: No way! No way! It's a joke! C'mon! Stop! Go back!
JUN: Wh, what is this? Lisa's not here, so let's go back to the previous room for now, Tatsuya.

[Talk to Jun]
JUN: I'm worried about Maya-neesan and Michel. Let's hurry back, Tatsuya.

[Back in the main room]

EIKICHI: It seems like the rest of them have gone off somewhere... it's such a pain when people act without thinking.
JUN: Lisa?
LISA: Aiya! How did you two come out of there? I didn't see you inside!
JUN: I'm the one who wants to ask something... what happened in there, Lisa?
LISA: Eh? No way, Jun. There was really a recovery spring inside!
LISA: It was a total rip-off, and I fought with Trish, so I'm positive... are you sure you weren't dreaming?
EIKICHI: Me too, I really was in the Velvet Room.
MAYA: [huff, puff] That's a terrible joke! I'm not dirty laundry; I would have died!
EIKICHI AND MAYA: Eh? Where the heck did you go?
MAYA: Hmm... what could it be? When I was in there, it really was full of traps on the other side.
MAYA: Shall we try going one more time?

[TERMINAL (B5)]
LISA: Aiya! What's this?
EIKICHI: Heh heh, can't you tell by looking? No matter how you look at it, it's a stage, isn't it? There's even spotlights!
EIKICHI: Whoa!
EIKICHI: Okay, everybody! Now we're gonna have Michel-sama's Special Live Starting in Xibalba!
EIKICHI: Hooooo...
[He disappears.]
MAYA: Eikichi-kun!
JUN: No, don't! Maya-neesan!
LISA: You can't, Tatsuya! This is definitely--
LISA: Aaaaaaaaaaaaah!
[The scene reopens in a classroom.]
EIKICHI: Ha ha ha, Tacchan, you made it too! Look, check it out. Where d'ya think this is?
LISA'S VOICE: Aiyaaaaaaa!
EIKICHI: Hey...Ginko...
LISA: [pant, pant] What the hell were you thinking? Didn't you think you were gonna die?
LISA: Hu...what? This is...

[Talk to party members]
EIKICHI: So now that we've got this, whenever we want to go to Xibalba, we won't have to go down a river. I'm relieved.
JUN: This looks like one of the Last Battalion's machines. It's not very nice to Maya-neesan, but I feel more secure using this machine.
MAYA: Hm...well, it wouldn't matter to me if we went down the river every time, but that won't fly, will it?
LISA: Aiya! This is classroom 1-C in Seven Sisters, isn't it? We came here from Xibalba?

[This is your way out of Xibalba. You can use this room to transport back to the city whenever you need to from here on. To go back to Xibalba, just return to 1-C. Once you leave floor 5, there’s not a fast way back up to the 5th floor until you reach the 8th floor, at which time the green and black elevator will become functional. (If you try to use it on the 5th floor before reaching the 8th, Jun will tell you that it’s not something that the party should be using.) I would suggest going around the city at this time – it’s much cheaper than healing at Trish’s Spring. Area 6 is now open at the Factory, and you can do the Legendary Weapon sidequest at this time, if you like. If you choose to do it, refer to the supplemental translation for that sidequest, linked off the translation index page.]

[ROOM OF CIMI (B6)]
[Lisa stands with her blonde kimono-clad mother. The rest of the children watch.]
CHILD LISA: See ya later! Bye-bye!
CHILD JUN: ...

JUN: Ugh... again... why... why do I see this scene?

CHILD MAYA: Jun-kun, isn't your mother going to come pick you up?
CHILD JUN AND JUN: I wish you had been my mama, Big Sis.
CHILD JUN: Mama... Mama hates me... but Papa is a super-great father! He really is!
CHILD MAYA: I see... well, then why don't you come home with me?
???: Hey, thanks... looks like you've been taking care of Jun.

JUN: Argh... Wh... who is... that?

CHILD MAYA: Hello. Um... are you Jun-kun's father?
CHILD JUN: N-no! H, he's my u, uncle! My uncle!
JUN'S "UNCLE": ......Well, shall we head home... Jun?

JUN: That's not it... no... that's right... stop...STOP IT!

[The scene returns back to Xibalba]

JUN: Ugh...that's wrong...
EIKICHI: Hey... Jun, are you all right?
JUN: That's right... Maya-neesan isn't my mother...
JUN: I'm okay. Shall we go?

[Talk to party members]
EIKICHI: Jun's uncle... he looks a lot like Jun's father, but they're totally different types of people.
LISA: That person... didn't he look just like the spirit in the clock tower?
LISA: Huh? Doesn't that seem strange? Wasn't Jun's father the one who wrote In-Laqetti? And the person who died in the clock tower was also the one who wrote that book.
LISA: Hey, speaking of which, Jun's father was... no, that can't possibly be... the father that we know is...
MAYA: .....Let me think about this a bit, Jun-kun.
JUN: My uncle? Yes, my father is inside here... we've got to stop him.

[ROOM OF MANIK (B6)]
EIKICHI: Damn... how long are we gonna have to follow him? It looks like that Little Moustache Guy has managed to get pretty far ahead of us.
JUN: While we do have four of the Skulls in our possession, the one Hitler possesses still has accumulated a significant amount of Ideal Energy.
JUN: If the beings that reside in here are awakened, things are going to become very dangerous.
MAYA: Hmmm...what do you guys think? How far do you think we've followed them?
JUN: Eh? Well, if you think about the time it took to get this far, we've probably still got a ways to go, but--
LISA: Whatever. All I wanna do is get out of here fast.
EIKICHI: Um, I don't really know, but don't you think we've only got a little bit left?
MAYA: Perhaps... So, Jun-kun's guess is that we've still got 'a long way to go' before we catch up with them.
MAYA: Eikichi-kun thinks 'a bit farther' and Lisa says 'whatever.'
MAYA: Then, I think...we should catch up to him soon.
LISA: Huh? What do you mean, Maya-chan? You've been acting strange.
MAYA: Well, well... hmmm, what I said might have been a little bit ambiguous.
MAYA: If we convert our guesses into distance, Jun-kun's could be long, mine would be short and Eikichi-kun's might be medium.
MAYA: So. Okay, Tatsuya-kun, whose guess do you agree with?

 - I agree with Jun   - I agree with Eikichi
 - I agree with Maya  - I agree with Lisa
Who you pick changes the length of the maze on B7. Choosing Maya is the short path, Eikichi is the medium path with the best items, and Jun will end you up in a long maze. Agreeing with Lisa gets the same thing as agreeing with Maya--at least it did in my game. Please let me know if it's actually random.

MAYA: So Tatsuya-kun, you're saying that you think that we've got a little ways to go before we catch up with them? [This will change a bit based on whose opinion you agreed with.]
MAYA: The votes are divided 2 to 1 to 1 to 1. Hm, what will happen? Well, let's get moving.

[Talk to characters]
LISA: It's not gonna become the way we imagine just by thinking about it, is it? I wonder what she means?
EIKICHI: Okay everybody! Please leave any quizzes to me, Michel-sama!
EIKICHI: I've been in a High School Quiz King Tournament... okay, I lost in the preliminaries...
MAYA: I wonder what will happen... my guess is the next path will become the same as the guess of whoever you agreed with, Tatsuya-kun.
JUN: What's she talking about? Maya-neesan wouldn't have said something like that for no reason.

[ROOM OF LAMAT (B8)]
LISA: This is just what you said would happen, Maya-chan! Haime...how did you know?
LONGINUS 1: Fräulein (Miss)... it seems that somehow you have figured out the secret of Xibalba.
MAYA: Thanks to you, but I still don’t know all the rules yet.
EIKICHI: What's the secret, Maya-nee?
LONGINUS 2: Well then. You all might have realized exactly how perilous the situation is that you're in!
LONGINUS 3: Exactly. You all are destined to meet your end here.
MAYA: Quite sorry. We're absolutely going to win. Isn't that right, everyone!

 - Hell yeah!
 - I'm not so sure...

[Saying you're not so sure sticks you in a stronger boss fight, so I'd say the logical choice is to show you've got balls.]

[Enter battle. This fight is similar to other fights with Longinus Robots. Take out 2, 3, and 4 [the black ones] since they have weaknesses, then concentrate on 1. The fight is worth about 55,000 EXP and each robot has around 4,000 HP.]

LONGINUS 1: You've got a lot of confidence, young lion. Throughout time, young people have become drunk on a sense of omnipotence and commit mistakes. Now, you shall know the same fate!
LONGINUS 1: If you were to die here, you would have been able to end without suffering...Marionette, I wonder where your mother has gone?
JUN: What? Ugh...
MAYA: Jun-kun, don't let them get to you! The only thing you should be thinking of right now is stopping your father and returning the city to normal!
LISA: Hey, Maya-chan, what's been going on? You said something or other about a secret... there's something weird going on.
MAYA: Sorry...I don't think that I should be saying anything about it yet. I'll explain everything later.
MAYA: Let's hurry on. Probably...no, we’ll definitely catch up with Jun's father next.

[Talk to characters]
EIKICHI: Xibalba's secret, huh...hmmmm... could it really all have been a dream? It can't be...
LISA: Maya-chan is strange. It seems like Jun's memories are still confused... I wonder if he's okay?
MAYA: That's right... next, we'll be able to meet Jun-kun's father. Don't you think so too, Tatsuya-kun? That's right, isn't it?
JUN: I haven't seen her for quite a while, but Mother should be living happily with her lover.
JUN: Ever since we left the city ten years ago, I changed schools again and again because I caused trouble wherever we went.
JUN: I always lived alone with my father; I was in my mother's way... argh... my head, again...!

Parental Issues

[ROOM OF MALUK (B8)]
MAYA: It didn't work, did it... how in the world does this place work?
EIKICHI: Hey, Maya-nee, you think it'd be okay to tell me what's up with this place sometime soon?
LISA: That's right, Maya-chan! Do you really trust us that little?
MAYA: Absolutely not! I trust all of you, but--
MAYA: No, hiding it won’t do any good. Okay, I'm gonna be as frank as I can...
[She explains.]
JUN, TATSUYA, LISA, EIKICHI: Whaaaaaat? Our thoughts are becoming reality?
MAYA: Hold your horses! Before you doubt me, give some thought to what's happened up to now!
JUN: She's right... there was the traps, and the incident with the Recovery Spring... but, why in the world...?
EIKICHI: I'm gonna be a star...I'm gonna be a star...I'm gonna be a star...I'm gonna be a star...I'm gonna be a star...I'm gonna be a star...
LISA: [pointed stare] Tatsuya, do you like me?

 - I like you. LISA: Hoh san luo! I'm so happy! It's just like you said, Maya-chan!
 - Nope. LISA: Ehh? Shuai luo! Maya-chan, you liar!
 - As a friend. LISA: Ehh? Shuai luo! Maya-chan, you liar!
If you say that you like her, and you chose her in the Taurus shrine, you'll get the "Really Nice Feeling" combo between Tatsuya and Lisa. If you chose someone else and then tell her you like her, your combo with her goes back to "Ginko's One-Sided Love." Saying "Nope" makes your combo "Ginko, Lost Love?" and saying "As a friend" will result in "Ginko's One-Sided Love."

MAYA: Okay, okay! It doesn't work quite that easily.
MAYA: I've been thinking things like, "I hope the city returns to normal," and "we'll encounter Jun's father soon," but nothing's happened.
MAYA: Now think about this. Aren't everyone's fears and negative thoughts all becoming reality in enormous proportions?
JUN: But the Velvet Room and the Recovery Spring became reality, just like Lisa and Michel expected them to!
MAYA: That's right... that's why I've tried this and that, but I still can't figure out any of the logic behind it...
MAYA: It doesn't work if everyone thinks the same thing, nor is the power of one person's thoughts strong enough to have an effect... perhaps the thoughts of a third party are somehow connected.
JUN: Is that... my father...?
MAYA: I don't know. Your father has no need to think about things that are convenient to us.
MAYA: But... if he's just playing with us, that's a different story.
[A can suddenly appears in Maya's hands.]
JUN, TATSUYA, LISA, EIKICHI: Hmmmmmm... canned crab...
MAYA: Well, even if we think about it, something we don't know is still something we don't know! Let's move on. Try not to think of scary things, okay?
EIKICHI: You say that so easily, but--
[A metal version of Eikichi's father walks out of the wall.]
EIKICHI: A....AAAAAAAAAAAAACK! D-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-dad's metal is shining!
JUN, TATSUYA, LISA, MAYA: Didn't we tell you not to think about anything?

[Enter battle]
METAL DADDY: C'mon, Eikichi! Quit screwing around here and get your ass back to help in the restaurant!
EIKICHI: D-Dad! If I explain, you'll understand! Eeeeeeeee!
[Start the battle. Metal Daddy is Level 59, and attacks with a variety of strong physical attacks. He's worth 40,000 EXP.]

[After Battle]
EIKICHI: I did it! I won against my father!
LISA: Don't give me that "I did it!" crap, Captain Stupid! Didn't we just tell you not to think about stuff like that?
EIKICHI: Wa ha ha! Sorry, sorry. But now there's nothing I'm afraid of anymore, so it's fine!
MAYA: Okay, okay. Let's just stop this now. Let's move along.

[Talk to party members afterwards]
EIKICHI: Ah, man, do I feel good! I'm no longer who I used to be! From now on, I'm Michel MK2!
LISA: Geez...Eikichi's still the big dumbass that he's always been.
LISA: That reminds me--a while ago, he fell in a ditch even though he was looking down while he was walking, and boy, did he cry like a baby!
MAYA: But this makes it clear, doesn't it? In Xibalba, your thoughts become reality... speaking of which, I've had thoughts that became reality too.
MAYA: You'd better be careful too, Tatsuya-kun.
JUN: Thoughts becoming reality... I haven't heard anything like that from my father... what the heck is Xibalba, anyway?

[ROOM OF OC (B9)]
CHILD LISA: Hey, hey... Jun, your daddy is an awesome guy who can do anything, right? I wonder if we'll get to meet him today?
CHILD JUN: Y...yeah... but he's busy with work...
CHILD EIKICHI: I, I wish my daddy wasn't a su-sushi chef ei-either...e-every day, we eat sushi...
CHILD MAYA: It's just about time for everyone's parents to come pick you guys up, isn't it?
CHILD LISA: I wonder if my mom will be first today? I'm hungry!
CHILD EIKICHI: Ah, s-somebody's here. A guy we don't k-know. He's c-cool!
JUN’S DAD: Jun, I've come to pick you up.

LISA: So that's it...that really was Jun's father.
EIKICHI: That's right... I remember. We met Jun's dad back then...
JUN: Agh...Yes...That's my--

JUN’S DAD: Come on, Jun. Mama is waiting.
CHILD LISA: I thought so! He really is a great father!
CHILD MAYA: That's great, Jun. Your dad came to pick you up!

JUN: Mama... Mama's not waiting or anything! D-Don't--!
JUN: Mama... don't get rid of me... don't hate me... save me, Papa!
WOMAN’S VOICE: Aaaah, what a depressing child!
[A gold version of Jun's mother comes through the floor.]
METAL MOM: Jun...if only you and your father were gone, I'd be free.
METAL MOM: Ho ho ho, I wish you'd never been born! Just disappear completely!
MAYA: Jun-kun! That's just an illusion born from the sad memories inside of you! You aren't going to disappear!

[Enter battle]
MAYA: Grr...everyone! Protect Jun-kun!
METAL MOM: Aa haa haa! Jun is my child! No matter what you do, I'm free to do what I want with him!

[Metal Mom is Level 60, magic reflect. Physical attacks are your friends, and if you have weapons with imbued magic, swap them out for this fight.]

[After battle]
JUN: Ooh...Mama...
MAYA: Jun-kun... even if you say that nobody else needs you, we always will.
MAYA: Are you going to leave us all behind and go away all by yourself?
MAYA: Will you abandon Tatsuya, the one who is... your other self?
JUN: ...Tatsuya...
JUN: Everything... I remember everything now... hurry... we must defeat him.
LISA: Him? You mean your father?
JUN: He is...
JUN: If you meet him, you'll understand. Let's hurry.

[Talk to party members]
EIKICHI: I've got no clue what the hell is going on...the guy we met back then, wasn't that Jun's dad?
LISA: That's right; we met Jun's father in the past...
LISA: He looks just like the ghost in the clock tower, but their personalities are totally different! Which one of them is Jun's real father?
MAYA: Back then...everyone spread rumors about what kind of person Jun-kun's father was...
MAYA: No way! That couldn't have...but if it...
JUN: This is terrible! It's all my fault...how should I atone for this?...Father...

[COLD SLEEP ROOM (B9)]
IDEAL-SENSEI: Th...this is...?! I'm really here! This is undoubtedly the room where the Maiyans sleep!
IDEAL-SENSEI: Wh-where are you? Co-come out, please! Please come out, Maiyans!
IDEAL-SENSEI: Amazing... I knew that Kashihara-sensei was right! The Bolontiku actually existed!
LISA: Aiya! What are these suspicious-looking aliens?
IDEAL-SENSEI: Heh heh heh...aaa haa haa haa haa haa! Serves that bitch right!
IDEAL-SENSEI: Well, hurry up and awaken! Lead humans to Idealian!
JUN: Wait, Okamura-sensei! This entire situation was born of my dead father's and your expectations and wild delusions!
IDEAL-SENSEI: What did you just say? This? This is a delusion? Who in the hell are you?
JUN: I am the son of the one person other than you and King--no, Tatsuya Sudou-that was entrusted with In-Laqetti--Akinari Kashihara!
JUN: I'm sure my father told you that if the Oracle of Maiya was completed... my father, he didn't wish for the destruction of the world or anything!
IDEAL-SENSEI: Kashihara-sensei's child...so you're that woman's son. Tell me, do you ridicule your father like that bitch always did?
IDEAL-SENSEI: Your mother never had an inkling of understanding the greatness of Sensei's research! The way she treated him was horrible! But I'm different from her!
IDEAL-SENSEI: I would have done anything, even die, to prove Sensei's research! I'm the one who should have been his wife!
[The Bolontiku come out of the cold sleep chambers. They smack Okamura out of the way.]

[Enter battle]
BOLONTIKU: Kyaha! Food, food!
JUN: Can't you feel it? They have the same power of the stars that we do!
MAYA: This means...could it be? Uh oh! With five of them, this could be bad!

[The Bolontiku are Level 58. They have the same properties as the Ultimate Persona; fighting them is sort of like fighting everyone's Shadow at once. My advice: take out the magic reflect one--the one farthest to the left--then hit the rest with your strongest magic.]

[After battle]
EIKICHI: Seems like she's okay. Just lost consciousness. Geez, what a crazy lady!
JUN: I think... she planned to die. One of the steps to the completion of the Oracle was the live sacrifice of the "Maiyan Maiden"...
JUN: My father seemed to have thought that she was the Maiyan Maiden, a descendant of the Maiyans who was rich in their blood.
JUN: The completion of the Oracle was, in other words, her death. The truth is it was nothing but delusions.
LISA: Jun, you said a moment ago that your father was dead; but, who was that person we saw?
JUN: That wasn't my real father. I'm sure that was--
MAYA: It's a fake that was born from our rumors, isn't it? The same as our Shadows...another Self created inside of someone else.
LISA: Seriously? We did spread rumors about Jun's father when we were kids...but...
EIKICHI: Rumors have been becoming reality since way back then?
MAYA: "People know themselves only by who they are to others." Our Selves and our existence originate inside of other people.
MAYA: By comparing ourselves to others, we take notice of the image of our Self held by others, and "we" come into being.
MAYA: We can only think of ourselves in terms of the number of other people who know us.
MAYA: Through rumors, another Self originates. It sounds so ironic that it's almost sarcastic.
JUN: This is all my fault... I really didn't want you guys to see my real father... everyone told lies about him.
MAYA: It wasn't your fault, Jun-kun... we've been watched by someone ever since then. I know that for sure now.
MAYA: Something frighteningly cynical, full of hateful intent... a great existence...
EIKICHI: That's our real enemy--the one who's been making rumors into reality... But why?
JUN: It'll be faster for us to ask him ourselves. We should meet him soon. I can hear him, laughing while he beckons us forth.

[Talk to party members afterward]
LISA: That's right; Philemon was going to tell us about this!
LISA: The one that's been watching us since then... why? Why did he do this?
EIKICHI: The things we thought became reality... this room, those aliens... I wonder if they were thought up by this woman?
EIKICHI: If it's as Maya-nee said, I can't just smile and nod when anything else happens. Let's put an end to this, fast.
JUN: My real father is--I'm sure the only place he belonged was in a dream, isolated from reality...
JUN: But, he was my gentle father... why didn't I hold my head high and tell everyone that he was my father back then?
MAYA: In the end, she was also bound by the thoughts of her own past... I feel sorry for her.
MAYA: Is a person's death... eternal...? But if that makes the people left behind unhappy...
MAYA: Tatsuya-kun, if... no, it's nothing.

[Head for the center of Xibalba and the end of the game.]
