About the site

The Allegory of Whatever is a fansite that is totally unaffiliated with Atlus USA or Atlus JP. It's been around since 2002. No copyright infringement intended, etc etc etc. You know the drill. Information on the site is obtained from official guidebooks and an excessive number of playthroughs. This game is probably responsible for the fact that I don't even blink at 90-hour playthroughs anymore.

What happened to the Oracle of Maiya?

Well...with the official release of Persona 2: Innocent Sin in English for the PSP in Fall 2011, it seemed unnecessary. It makes more sense to support Atlus by actually buying the game. Also, keep in mind that the original versions of this site involved instructions on how to mod an original-series Playstation. Times have changed, my friend. I anticipate that when the official English release comes out, some brave soul will produce an script if you need a reference.

I know that there are translated terms on this site that are slightly different from those in the official translation. Sorry about that! When I can, I'll try to make it consistent, but there are things I don't really want to change, because they're not wrong.

Can I contribute to the site?

Absolutely! Corrections are especially welcomed. Email any of the addresses scattered around the site - and also make the subject line really obvious, because otherwise I will assume that you are trying to give me more staying power with Cialis. (How do all email addresses become such dens of spam and iniquity?)

Can I repost information?

I wasn't entirely amused to find that my game FAQs were reposted, in "adapted" form, to gamefaqs, considering that I was pretty clear about that and it does take time to both read and transcribe Japanese game guides. At least respect the time I wasted on them! But that cat's out of the bag, so I suppose do as you will. Dropping me a line and retaining credit would still be appreciated.

How do I pirate-

No. Don't be silly.

But I want free things!

Don't we all.
