| Robin bikes down the street in a charming new black spandex outfit. How the hell does she hide her hair in that helmet? The doorman at STN-J stares wistfully at her abandoned moped as he walks in to work, and so does Karasuma as she parks next to it. Haruto's got a cast and a walking stick, and everyone's trying to maintain normalcy. Even Doujima worked late to help out, and Karasuma seems to have taken over the lead position. Kosaka complains that Zaizen won't tell him anything, and everyone looks significantly at Michael, who claims not to know anything more than that. Karasuma is about to leave on a manhunt, and Haruto limps after her, offering to help. Kosaka and Hattori hastily save face and tell him to stay behind and protect them in case anything happens. Haruto says that they're all wishing Amon is here - what, the place needs a little angst or something? Zaizen, in his limo, is on the phone with FACTORY, I guess, ordering them to restart the production of Orbo. There have been no orders to search for Robin, but he says they can find her if they want to. Robin apparently has gotten herself some kind of bike delivery job for Nagira Law Offices. A little girl peeks out of an apartment door at Robin, smiles, and hides again (no, really, this is relevant.) Robin makes her delivery and heads off, not before scaring the crap out of potential bike thief. I can't imagine that she's scary; she looks like she's out of some 80's dance movie in all that spandex. Robin sees Doujima heading down an alleyway, followed by some unsavory-looking men, and she hesitates. At the Nagira office, the secretary comments that Robin's late, and maybe Nagira's little girlfriend has finally run away from him. Nagira, a total pimpmasta, goes out for more cigarettes, ignoring his secretary's pleas to actually do some work for once and quit chasing around after Robin. Doujima finally reaches her car but is dragged off by the thugs. Apparently these are the people she's been investigating - and the head is a Witch. Looks like SOMEONE forgot to wear their Orbo pendant today. But, of course, flames chase the thugs off - Robin does not seem to grasp the concept of "staying undercover" or "being in hiding" since she only managed it for TEN MINUTES OF AN EPISODE. Robin and Doujima have drinks in a cafe, and Robin pumps her for information about everyone. Apparently the raiders used plastic bullets, so everyone's okay except for Haruto, who broke his leg, and Amon, who is AWOL. Zaizen hasn't showed up to work either since the raid. Doujima reassures Robin that they aren't Hunting her, and of course all Robin can talk about is how Amon saved her and he was so cool. She tells Doujima not to tell anyone that Amon had saved her (as opposed to Hunting her, I mean), and Doujima agrees if Robin can give her a hand if Doujima is sent on a solo Hunt. Robin refuses. Doujima adds the raiders stole Orbo guns and data, which everyone agrees is kind of suspicious. Back at the law office, the secretary tries to chat with her, but Robin is monosyllabic. The secretary jokes again about Robin's lolitastic appeal and Nagira's interest in her. But Robin has an Amon flashback to attend to, so she collapses in her room and swears to wait for Amon to return. Karasuma is trying to Hunt singlehandedly, which is going about as well as a chastity rally in Vegas. She nearly gets strangled before she can stop him. Robin gets a dinner invitation from Nagira, where he reminds her not to do anything foolish. Nagira is taking care of Robin because Amon asked him to; his was the address on that piece of paper in Robin's hair. Nagira hands Robin some pictures and asks her to look at them; they're of Zaizen and her roommate Touko. Apparently Touko is in a psych hospital; her wounds weren't serious, but she had a nervous breakdown. And Touko also forgot to mention she was Zaizen's daughter, which confuses and disturbs Robin. Doujima and Karasuma have coffee at Harry's, where Doujima compulsively confesses that Robin saved her. Karasuma is so relieved that she cries. Robin is STILL BROODING OVER AMON IN HER ROOM, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD...uh...okay, I'm better now. "Three hundred and twenty years have passed since the coven sank in the dark. A fugitive. A small encounter. An invisible truth. An endless fate draws down a pitch-black curtain on the stage between acts." [previous] [next] |
