GHOST LIST SPOILERS FOLLOW! There are 108 ghosts on the ghost list (108 being a significant number in many religions.) It is impossible to complete the ghost list on one playthrough, since some ghosts show up in the very beginning before you get the camera in your first playthrough- like Ogata's ghost looking at Miku from next to the save point in the entrance. There are three basic types of ghosts in Himuro Mansion: VENGEFUL GHOSTS (‰…—ì) These are the ghosts of visitors or inhabitants of Himuro mansion that were corrupted by Malice and attack the living. They will turn the blue light of the save point red if they are in the room, and cause the filament of the camera to react and turn orange. They turn the camera's filament blue, and can only be photographed the first time they're seen. They do not attack the living. STATIC GHOSTS (’n”›—ì) Static ghosts are harmless ghosts that stay in a single spot. They turn the camera's filament blue, and usually can be detected by the filament's light and a crackling noise. They can be pretty hard to find sometimes! Child Behind Entrance The ghost of a child who disappeared in the mansion. He waits to be found. Angry Man Fireplace A victim of the Malice. Anger fills its soul. It waits for a passerby. Woman in Kimono Kimono Room A female victim of the Calamity. She wants to show off her favorite kimono. Woman in Pain Cherry Atrium A ghost suffering from the Malice. It is trying to tell people about the pain. Monk into Dark Fish Tank Room A monk who fell victim ot the Malice of the Calamity, a friend of the other monk. Girl Turning Backyard Kirie's servant, who was thrown into the well for the sake of secrecy. She still waits for Kirie in the well. Warped Man Forest Path He tried to spy on the Himuro Family's rituals, and fell victim to the Malice. Monk Out of Dark Stairway A monk who fell victim to the Malice of the Calamity, a friend of the other monk. People in Pain Narukami Shrine Members of the Himuro family who were in the mansion when the Calamity occured. Unaware of their fate, they wait for passersby. Burned Man Abyss A man who got hit hard by the Malice. He wants to tell a passerby of his sufferings. Woman Clad in Evil Grand Hall A maid killed by the Himuro master. Although she knows she's dead, she is unable to rest in peace, since she is bound to an evil spirit. Talking Ghosts Hidden Passage She lost her form when the Malice hit her. Now all she can do is scream. Probably the ghost of a maid from the mansion. Long Haired Woman Attic Her hair kept its beauty even after she was hit by the Malice. She waits for a passerby with her long hair fluttering. Man at Bottom Hell Bridge The ghost of a man who was pushed over a cliff by Malice. Six Vengeance Rope Altar A ghost floating on the other side of the Hell Gate. It wants to cross over to this side. Editor Ogata Library Takamine's editor, who accompanied him to the mansion. Kirie's Love Abyss The ghost of Kirie's love, murdered in the Abyss at the orders of the Himuro master. He waits to be found so he can tell Kirie of his fate. Truth Binder Buddha Room The person who tied the strangling ropes onto Kirie. He was in love with Kirie. After the ritual, he was murdered to protect the ritual's secrets. Burdened Man Abyss He hid the body of Kirie's love, then was murdered. He was in love with Kirie. SEAL GHOSTS (••ˆó—ì) Seal ghosts protect important places in Himuro mansion by keeping them shut with their strong spiritual power. They turn the filament of the camera blue, and taking a picture of them destroys their seal. The places locked by a seal ghost are warped in appearance by the ghostly power. Seal ghosts do not attack the living. Seductress Storehouse Woman who got locked down in the storehouse. She lures people into the storehouse to join her. Woman Pulled In Abyss A woman who was pulled into the Abyss. She's waiting to be pulled out. Child Onlooker Doll Room A child, snatched away by a ghost. He hides in the Doll Room, waiting to be found. Vengeance in Wall Stairway The ghost of a human who was sacrificed and placed on the mansion's wall to protect the mansion from evil. It became evil due to Malice. Vengeance Looking Down Rope Hallway The ghost of a human who was sacrificed and placed on the beam in the rope hallway to prevent evil spirits from entering the mansion. It became evil due to Malice. Girl Hiding Walkway A child, snatched away by a ghost. She is hiding in the walkway crevice, waiting to be found. Crushed Woman Rubble Room A woman who was crushed to death during the Calamity. Later attempts on construction in that room had to be stopped because of the frequent accidents caused by the trapped ghost. SUPER-RARE GHOST Hand Reaching Up From The Floor * I only heard about this as a rumor on a Japanese fanpage; if you can't leave a particular room, scan the floor in camera mode and you might find this ghost.
